Management Summary:
Full control over the entertainment portal for the first time

Sony contracted AOE to migrate the current static portal completely for on-demand access to videos, games and music to a new Enterprise Web Content Management System (CMS) – in 14 languages for 57 countries. In 17 cases, this meant migrating a complete localized website; the remaining country versions only contained important legal information at that time. Sony publishes new content on the portals twice a week. This was also the case during the migration period to the new CMS.

After six weeks, the migration was completed. Up to twelve developers and project managers worked on the project at AOE to get the portal up and running on time. To ensure that the portal remained constantly available during changes, AOE relied on synchronized content. This procedure was also used for all localized, mobile versions of the portal. Thanks to the migration of the existing portal, Sony gained full control over the global portal for the first time with less dependence on the IT department.
