Cisco WebEx is the global leader in online meetings as well as web- and video conferencing. With WebEx, approximately 28,000 customers and 3.5 million monthly users exchange presentations, applications, documents or entire desktops over the Internet. WebEx maintains 13 Internet platforms in nine different languages around the world. The challenge: Individual country pages had to be localized – a process that to date was carried out manually on static websites. Cisco WebEx chose an Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) based on open source technology in order to maintain the country sites quickly and conveniently.

Localization and fallback functionalities display pre-defined language versions, should content not be available.
Direct and easy-to-use website integration with industry-leading language tools.
Extensive A/B/C/D testing- and tracking methods enable a direct comparison of the effectiveness of different content versions.
The migration not only created an entirely new architecture, a comprehensive localizing- and fallback functionality for the complex administration of the WebEx portals was also implemented for the first time. So-called “Language Fallbacks” automatically call up the content in the next language relevant to the user if the information is not available in the desired language. In addition, all new WebEx portals feature a sophisticated design and a search engine optimized (SEO) navigation concept. Other noteworthy features include fully editable and localizable Flash content and an Advanced Template Wizard that provides a quick overview of almost 100 content elements, grids and extensions.
