Last week, Magento, an eBay Enterprise company, announced its Magento B2B Program, which will continue to drive expansion in the B2B segment. Magento and its partners, AOE among them, stand to benefit from a rapidly accelerating market. Recent Forrester Research, Inc., figures indicate that the number of all B2B buyers who will complete at least half of their work by purchasing online is expected to exceed 50 percent within the next two years.
According to the announcement, dated August 13, Magento is “a leader in B2B commerce, with 30 percent of its Enterprise clients using the platform for B2B.” And, according to a current global commerce share report by Hivemind Magento is the most popular E-Commerce platform on the market.
AOE was one of the first Magento Enterprise Partners and is among the Magento market leaders, a fact also reflected by being named the Omni Channel Partner of the Year for EMEA by Magento's parent company, eBay Enterprise, at the Imagine Commerce Conference in April.
