Quadrant is a leading manufacturer of thermoplastic materials for a number of industries, including automotive, food and renewable energies. As a global player, Quadrant needs a web platform that integrates all business units under one roof and can be easily maintained by authorized staff worldwide. The challenge was to integrate all markets into one web portal and make the relevant content available to the target audiences with just a few clicks – a task for the leading Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) TYPO3. Of particular significance for the platform is the product- and industry solution finder AOE implemented for Quadrant. The result is an online toolbox, designed for users to quickly and easily find their desired plastic solution.
The primary target was not only to implement a CMS for a unified global frontend, but to completely redesign the entire global web footprint. In addition, the portal structure was to be simplified.
To meet Quadrant’s requirements, AOE implemented a completely new website while also redesigning parts of the company’s global corporate identity; in the process, all business units and editorial groups were unified onto one platform.
With the solution finder mentioned above, users are now able to find the desired product or solution with only two clicks from the homepage.
By bundling its competencies – combining concept, design and development – AOE was able to offer Quadrant one unified package. The Open Source principle of TYPO3 – no licensing fees – played a significant role in project implementation.
