Visual Designer (m/f/d), remote possible (headquarters in Wiesbaden)

We are a growing agile IT company based in Wiesbaden. We are looking for an experienced Visual Designer (m/f/d) for permanent employment for the next possible entry date.

What you’ll do:

  • As part of the team, you will design print products as well as digital formats – anything that needs graphic design work to communicate AOE's visual style creatively. You have a high awareness of quality, and you think and work cross-medially and also consider the aspect of usability in the graphical implementation of concepts
  • Take the initiative in communicating conceptual ideas, as well as not being afraid to pose learning questions
  • Produce assets and materials to help our marketing, sales and recruiting teams tell our story and reflect AOE's corporate identity across all channels (web, ads, e-books, whitepapers, presentations, social media, video etc.)
  • You are passionate about creating print-ready editorial products like brochures, magazines, flyers, and all kinds of business papers. You are familiar with working in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator. You will ideate and create merchandise products for AOE
  • You will be supporting and developing our corporate identity and define and document best practices for our visual communication. A huge plus would be if you have expertise in creating style guides
  • Work cross-functionally with other designers, architects, and engineers of different disciplines and projects
  • Give and receive thoughtful feedback that helps improve our work, both to fellow designers and while collaborating across roles
  • Ready to jump to UI/UX tasks and support our projects and product teams if necessary.

What you bring along:

  • Curiousity in all things design
  • Advanced experience in an advertising agency and/or marketing department as a graphic designer, media designer or art director
  • A portfolio that shows your ability to develop, evolve and execute on brand identity and visual language
  • You are familiar with creating logos, illustrations and any type of graphics & visuals
  • Experience in UI design and working with design dystems and extending them.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams, and across various marketing channels
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
  • Excellent technical skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Creativity and a sense for current trends in UX/UI design, branding, and technologies
  • Openness to new technologies and working methods
  • A strong understanding of the »why« behind the work, and how to build cohesiveness and recognition within a system
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize, manage workload and meet critical project deadlines of parallel-path projects
  • Awareness of a "form follows function" principle
  • Opennes to working in a multicultural team where intellectual diversity is embraced
  • Good English and German both written and spoken

You'll stand out if:

  • You are proficient in one of the following areas: Illustration, 3D/Rendering, After Effects, Motion Graphics, Photography and high-level Retouching
  • Familiarity with interaction design and information architecture
  • Background working with e-commerce or marketplaces
  • You have a basic knowledge of modern front-end frameworks or HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Experience with Agile development practices
