Hi! We are the Omnevo Logistics Development Team and are looking forward to meeting you. With our 18 colleagues comprised of developers, QA, DevOps engineer, designer, project managers, technical lead and product owner (mobile devices), we now look for additional support in our cross-functional set-up. 
Our web-based software is called ILS which stands for Inflight Logistics Solution. It mostly focuses on answering the complex logistics flow of inflight sold products (food and beverage, duty free). 
We are convinced that we are building the leading software solution in the travel retail sector and enjoy mastering new challenges together and achieving great things as a team. With a lot of focus, flexibility, and collaboration we are constantly improving our solution.

Your team colleagues are in Tanger, Morocco, but you have other Omnevo colleagues in Wiesbaden, Germany too. If you are living in Germany you are free to choose whether you work remotely, in a hybrid mode or whether you enjoy working in our beautiful office in Wiesbaden, it’s up to you. Since your team members work in Tanger, we appreciate your willingness in travelling there several times a year. If French or Arabic (Darija) is your first or second mother-tongue and you possess business fluent English skills, this is a great opportunity for you!

Your job

  • You are responsible for managing and finding a balance between the project and the product backlog of our back-office logistics solution and POS mobile application
  • You write user stories, refine requirements and actively engage in the realization of features with the client and the development team
  • You are creative and find solutions based on the existing functionalities of our software and make independent decisions regarding the future outline of our product
  • You enjoy keeping a close and eye-level contact with clients, gather first-hand information on their business needs and pain points and evaluate feature requests with their account managers
  • You bring the necessary tact between accepting and questioning customer requirements within the scope of the project
  • You are conscientious in documentation of product requirements, user stories, project progress and you prepare feature/ product documentation

What you bring along

  • You already have several years of experience and a corresponding track record as a project manager or product owner of a software development team in the area of complex logistics solutions or a comparable industry such as aviation or catering 
  • You have native French or Arabic (Darija) skills and are business fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • You have extensive experience in project and stakeholder management, backlog management and working closely with your software development colleagues on a daily basis, as well as representing the team and the product in discussions with external stakeholders
  • You are committed to participating in technical discussions and are willing to understand and learn about technical solutions
  • You have a pragmatic take on the product owner role, which means you are flexible and take situational responsibility to support the team 
  • You believe in people over processes, ensure a trustful working environment and make use of your intercultural competencies
