Hi! We are the Omnevo Core Team. The most important thing for us is that no one gets stuck on a problem alone. That’s why we all pull together and work on eye-level. Together we celebrate our successes and learn from our setbacks. Our daily work is determined by our task board, which we work through according to priority. We like to do complicated things in pair programming. Last but not least, we take the necessary time for personal development and try to keep up on new technology and methods.
 
We are convinced that we are building the leading software solution in the travel retail sector and enjoy mastering new challenges together and achieving great things as a team. With a lot of focus, flexibility, and collaboration we are constantly improving our software.
 
Mostly our team works remotely, but there are always a few colleagues in our beautiful office in Wiesbaden and we often spend hours together in a Zoom trying to simulate an office setting – and meet in e.g. “Comfort Seating Area”… ask us, if you’re curious about that ;).
For very special events we all travel to Wiesbaden 1-2 times a year.

Your job

• Work on a cross-functional team of engineers who own the E-Commerce platform
• You will develop frontend as well as backend components of our product
• You design, develop and deploy services, integrations and frameworks with a focus on high availability and scalability
• You will contribute to troubleshooting and bug fixing and help identify bottlenecks and improve software efficiency
• You provide technical support and assistance to internal teams and external partners during integration and deployment phases.
• You share your knowledge, promote best practices, and collaborate with engineers, testers and product owners in the company
• You will work in an environment that supports your individual growth

What you bring along

• You’re an experienced developer working with React.js, Node.js & GraphQL. Additional tools and technologies such as Next.js, Go, Kubernetes or other backend technologies is a plus
• Being able to plan components theoretically and being familiar with containerizing an application
• You know and care about engineering practices like continuous integration and automated testing
• Interest in training and helping upskill others. We aim to help build resilience through distributing best practices, so prior experience teaching others or writing developer documentation is a plus
• Willingness to jump into new codebases and unknown systems and quickly ramp up. We're looking for people excited by challenges and who use their determination to cut through and help scope ambiguity
• Good command of written and spoken English, German skills are a plus
