The rapid growth of AOE is reflected in this year’s digital agency rankings by the German “Bundesverband digitale Wirtschaft” (German “Federal Association of Digital Business” – BVDW). With rank 23, AOE is quickly closing in on the top 20.

As a specialized web provider and Open Source integrator, AOE successfully competes with large media agencies both in Germany and internationally – the recent announcement at the Magento Imagine Commerce Conference for the Best Omnichannel Experience Award for the Fraport project at the Frankfurt Airport being a prime example.

In BVDW’s 2016 agency ranking, AOE has climbed six spots compared to last year’s ranking. Viewed over the past six years, the development of the global provider of Enterprise Open Source web solutions has been even more remarkable: Since 2010 AOE has climbed nearly 40 positions from rank 61 to 23 – marking a continuous upward trend.

AOE fastest-growing private digital agency in Germany

Parallel to the positive trend in the agency rankings, revenue has also continued to increase significantly, from a little over 10 million EUR at the end of 2014 to more than 16 million EUR at the end of 2015. With a revenue growth of more than 60 percent, AOE had the largest organic growth of any digital agency in the list of 210 agencies and is the fastest-growing private digital agency in Germany.

Significant increase in number of employees

Together with the positive trends in the agency rankings as well as revenue, the number of employees has also continued to grow. With 144 employees at the end of 2015, AOE had 41 employees more compared to end-of-year 2014, representing an increase of nearly 40 percent.
